I wanted to share my favorite physical self care activity with you today.  

When you hear about physical self care, you’re probably thinking massages, facials, working out, yoga or dancing. While I take part in all of these activities, most mental health journals don’t usually mention my favorite type of physical self care which is manis and pedis.

From the time I started wearing acrylic nails, it has been my favorite self care activity. I mean getting manicures and pedicures always made me feel good, but to add some pizzazz to my nails made me feel like I should be on the cover of Vogue everytime!

Now that I’m bald, I focus more on nail art because…well, I don’t have any hair anymore to express myself, so, I have to find other ways. I mean seriously, how can I be your favorite Baldheaded Beauty if I don’t have a standard or show off my personal style.  

Every month I put my trust in @Nailsbyquetel to create nail art and every time she comes through with her creativity…never disappoints. I’m pretty sure you found some of her art work on Pinterest because that’s where I’ve seen some pictures of my hands lol. While she’s so focused on her work, we still make time to chat on a spiritual and intellectual level as well.

Self care is a great way to improve your mood, self-esteem and confidence. Find what works for you and make sure you add it to your routine.
